The Prisoner: Donal MacIntyre

With 5000 maximum security inmates, Louisiana State Penitentiary is one of America's largest prisons, and home to the ultimate punishment: execution by lethal injection. The prison also houses a reminder of a more violent past - 'Gruesome Gertie', the electric chair last used in 1921 for the execution of Andrew Lee Jones, is a fearsome exhibit in the prison's museum.
